“The link between our minds and bodies holds a well of potential”

- Jeffrey Rediger

Hi, I am Vanessa.

Welcome to my Health Psychology Practice

I am a psychologist with specialised training in Health Psychology. I am passionate about honouring the connection between body and mind.

I take a holistic approach that considers the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual components of wellbeing.

As a therapist, my aim is to create a safe space where you can explore and gain further understanding about yourself, develop useful coping skills, and take meaningful action in your life.

My therapeutic approach is humanistic and responsive to your unique needs. I draw on theoretical models and skills based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).

I am a registered psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. I have over eight years’ experience working as a Health Psychologist. Prior to starting my Private Practice, I worked at two major hospitals in Auckland in a variety of physical health services including Adult Congenital Cardiology, Adult Cardiology, Chronic Pain and other services. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Science Psychology Major, Master of Science with First Class Honours, and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology from The University of Auckland, New Zealand.

I was born in Colombia, South America, and have spent the majority of life living in Australia and New Zealand.
